MET (MET Proto-Oncogene, Receptor Tyrosine Kinase) ist ein Eiweiß auf der Zelloberfläche. Es empfängt Signale von außerhalb der Zelle und fördert dadurch das Zellwachstum. Vermehrtes Vorkommen von MET oder Überfunktionen regen das Tumorwachstum an. Zielgerichtete Therapien können die Aktivität des MET-Rezeptors hemmen und so das Tumorwachstum reduzieren.
