Bei dieser Form der Strahlentherapie liegt die Strahlenquelle innerhalb des Körpers (interne Strahlentherapie oder Brachytherapie). Das Gegenteil dazu kann die Strahlenquelle außerhalb des Körpers liegen (externe Strahlentherapie).
